Working for Vauxhall and Lambeth residents all year round

Missing councillor found!

Sam goes west

Residents of Prince's Ward in Kennington were surprised to find that their Labour councillor, Sam Townend, had been selected as a Labour Parliamentary Candidate: in Bristol!

No place like home

They were even more surprised to find that he is living in Bristol. His own website www.samtownend.com says "Sam is ...based on Henleaze Road towards the middle of the new Bristol North West constituency". Seems like he will have a long journey to visit the people who elected him in Prince's Ward in May 2006.

Full-time in Bristol

Even more strange is the pledge he made to the people of Bristol "If selected, I will work full-time to ensure my return as a Labour MP for Bristol North West".

There's only one conclusion. If it's full-time for Bristol it's no time for Lambeth! Now that's not what he gets paid for and what the voters of Vauxhall and Kennington were told last May!
