Working for Vauxhall and Lambeth residents all year round

Caroline Visits Community Fete

5.28.14pm BST (GMT +0100) Tue 29th May 2007

Caroline Pidgeon, Lib Dem PPC for Vauxhall, attended the Kennington Fete in Cleaver Square on Sunday 20th May to support this excellent annual community event. The rain held off this year, and Caroline enjoyed talking to lots of Kennington residents as well as local businesses and members from community groups such as the Friends of Kennington Park, and a local Tai Chi group. Also there were Lib Dem Lambeth councillors, and Charles Kennedy and his family.

"Events such as the Kennington Fete are great ways for local people to meet and see what they can do in the area, as well as have fun on the many stalls, tasting local produce and watching great entertainment such as the Punch and Judy show" said Caroline. "Well done to the Kennington Association who helped pull together this very well-attended event - the first of the summer!" she added.
