Working for Vauxhall and Lambeth residents all year round

Whatever will they think of next?

Long-term residents, as well as more recent arrivals in Lambeth, may be somewhat confused by leaflets being distributed by the Labour party which claim that the Lib Dems have been in control of Lambeth for '8 of the last 12 years'. Sadly, the truth is rather different, as widely-available official results of the number of seats won by each party can show:

1994

Labour 24 Lib Dems 24 Tory 16 (33 needed for a majority)

1998

Labour 41 Lib Dems 18 Tory 5

2002

Labour 28 Lib Dems 28 Tory 7

We know that figures have never been the Lambeth Labour's strong point, but this takes the biscuit! For the past three years, Lambeth has been Lib Dem-led, and we've worked hard to clear up the mess Labour left us.
