LIberal Democrats are the only real challengers to Labour in Vauxhall

A recent leaflet from the Tories may have confused some people about the position of the main parties in Vauxhall.

In the 1997 and 2001 General Elections the Conservatives trailed in third place n the Vauxhall constituency; in the 2004 London Mayoral elections they also came third in terms of votes cast in Vauxhall, and in local council elections they have been a poor third in terms of votes and councillors in Vauxhall since 1994.

The only real challengers to Labour in Vauxhall are the Liberal Democrats.
